Ignoring The Hunger

The Hunger is a disease. The city is a choice.

Teresa crossed the walls of Overton believing she could save her family. What she found instead was a city built on silence where stability is measured, obedience is rewarded, and suffering is quietly optimized.

About the Author

Braxton J. Bennett

I have always loved stories. Books... not so much.

Growing up I struggled with reading and comprehension. After some focused help and the patience of a wonderful teacher, something clicked in my brain and ignited my imagination. I found myself drawn to many genres and went on to read thousands of pages through grade school.

Story telling is an amazing talent and shouldn't be taken lightly. I'm excited to be publishing my own stories.

What Readers Say

Reviews from Amazon and Goodreads

"Couldn't put it down. The feral cycle concept is terrifying and original. Monte's journey had me on the edge of my seat the entire time."

Reader Review·Amazon

"If you loved The Road or The Passage, you need to read this. Bennett doesn't pull punches. Raw, brutal, and deeply human."

"The worldbuilding is incredible. I was hooked from the first page. Already counting down the days until Book II."

"Finally, a post-apocalyptic story that feels fresh. The feral cycle adds a ticking clock that never lets up. Devoured it in two sittings."

Reader Review·Goodreads

"Monte is the kind of protagonist you root for even when he makes terrible choices. This book gets under your skin and stays there."
